Score 89/100 · Drink 1999-2015, Robert Parker, Jun 1995
Swanson's Cabernet Sauvignons continue to improve. Both the 1991 and 1992 are tannic, backward Cabernets with good depth, medium to full body, excellent flavor extraction, and spicy, earthy, sweet cassis characters. The 1991 will be the longer-lived, although the 1992 will be more flattering and precocious. Both wines need 4-5 years of cellaring and should keep for 15-20. This winery is doing plenty of things right, which is good news for consumers. Tel. (707) 944-0905
