Bright ruby-red. A sexy, complex bouquet displays dark berry liqueur, cherry-cola, cinnamon, five-spice powder and vanilla. Plush, seamless red and dark berry flavors are impressively concentrated yet vivacious, with tangy minerality on the back end. The finish features an exotic candied floral quality and hangs on with great tenacity. Impressive.

The 2006 Pinot Noir Archery Summit Estate is dark ruby-colored with a reticent bouquet from which emerges cedar, mineral, and earth notes. On the palate the wine is tight and ungenerous at the moment. Only time will tell if it evolves into something more harmonious. One would hope so because it is Oregon’s most expensive Pinot Noir. Archery Summit is composed of 120 acres, all estate, and produces 15,000 cases annually. The Premier Cuvee bottling is typically 50-60% of the winery’s total production. Tel. (503) 864-4300
