A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, the 2022 Clos Louie is beautifully ripe and textured, exhibiting ripe black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and lead pencil notes. Medium to full-bodied and concentrated, it has a round, layered mouthfeel, beautiful tannins, and well-integrated oak. Aged for 19 months in 46% new French oak, drink this balanced, finesse-driven Castillon over the coming 10-15 years. Total production: 833 cases.

Brambleberries, orange peel and cocoa on the nose of this fruity and bright red. It’s medium- to full-bodied with chalky tannins and bright acidity. Nicely balanced. Drink from 2027.
