Deep ruby. Lively, mineral-tinged red fruit and floral pastille aromas pick up a spicy accent with aeration. Gently sweet and incisive on the palate, offering sappy raspberry and spicecake flavors and a touch of earthiness. Closes taut and juicy, with repeating spiciness and supple tannins adding grip.

The 2015 Brouilly Domaine de Combiaty has a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, a little plumper and showing more fruité than the Chateau de Nevers or Domaine de la Martingale cuvées. The palate is smooth in texture, quite grippy in the mouth with good volume. There is plenty of weight here although the finish needs to develop a little more complexity in bottle. Like their other 2015 Brouilly I would afford this a year or two in bottle.
