Very good ruby-red color. Redcurrant, raspberry, plum, graphite and spicy oak on the nose. Fairly concentrated and intense but quite dry; like classic old claret for the English palate. (Michael Broadbent might call this wine "flavoury.") Finishes with dusty, mouthcoating tannins that turned a bit dry and aggressive in the glass. My fellow tasters did not care for this style.
