Score 86/100 · Drink 2009-2017, Robert Parker, Feb 2009

This small, 15-acre vineyard produced a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc in 2006. Even though Stephane Derenoncourt is a magician when it comes to producing high quality wines, this effort exhibits light to medium body, diluted red currant and cherry fruit, a dusty, loamy soil component, and a short, clipped finish. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Subtle aromatic spice, fresh red fruit. Chewy, quite rich and yet fresh and juicy. Eminently drinkable. Another Stéphane Derenoncourt wine. (JH)

Ruby-red. Nutty redcurrant, mocha and caramel on the nose; this is still on its lees and not yet "cleaned up" for presentation to early tasters. Voluptuous in the mouth, with very good depth and sweetness to its fruit. Finishes with ripe tannins and very good length. A bit hard to assess today in its current form but there's good material here.
