Tasting notes
Pouring a bright straw appearance, the 2021 Chardonnay Old Stones is lifted with aromas of wet stone, citrus blossoms, and green apple. Softly textured and medium-bodied, it offers a vibrant spine of acidity, with notes of ripe pear fruit through the palate. Mouthwatering and fresh, it has a hint of balanced baking spice on the finish and should hold up nicely over the coming 5-6 years.

The 2021 Chardonnay Old Stones has inviting aromas of baked apples, quince paste, dried acacia, matchstick and gravel dust. The light-bodied palate is most notable for its concentrated fruit and luxurious, mouth-coating texture. Its generosity is balanced by vibrant acidity, and it has a long, honey-nut finish.
The 2021 Chardonnay Old Stones wafts up with a spicy, citrus-driven bouquet of lemon oils, hints of mint and crisp green apple. Luxuriously smooth with a pleasant inner sweetness, it flows across the palate with seductively ripe orchard fruits and sweet spices. It concludes with incredible length and potency, yet amazingly fresh with a lingering sapid fruit concentration. For all of the ripeness in this glass, the 2021 finishes with zero grams of residual sugar. What a darling.
