Tasting notes
This is very intense with electric acidity. Dried apples, lemons and minerals with a salty undertone. Full-bodied with phenolic tension and an extremely long finish. Hints of oyster. Needs two or three years to show its greatness, but fantastic already.

Now celebrating its 30th birthday, the Inama 2022 Soave Classico Foscarino offers aromas of Williams pear and peach nectar. This versatile white also has a spicy side with dustings of cumin and mustard seed. This release of 40,000 bottles represents a selection of fruit from across 20 hectares of vines on volcanic soils in the UGA Foscarino. The wine is fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel, botte grande and neutral French barrique.
Full bottle 1,362 g. 100% Garganega from old vines in the terraced Foscarino cru, and from a barrel and tank selection to celebrate the winery's 30th anniversary. As clear and clean and rushing as a mountain stream over white pebbles and fern. White peach, grapefruit, lichen. A wine that tastes so good at this young stage that it's difficult to realise it will taste glorious in a few yers' time. Put this away. Please. (TC)
Fermentation takes place in used barriques, large barrels and steel tanks. Prior to racking, bâtonnage is carried out every six weeks for about six months. Aged in stainless steel for a further six months. Pale straw yellow. Flowery, perfumed and with sweet oak notes taking the lead. Elegant apple and white-fruit palate that is a little restrained, but admirably the oak note has completely integrated into the wine. Medium-length, but this may just be closed. (WS)
