1990 Bonnes Mares

The super 1990 Bonnes Mares offers up a big, expansive nose of sweet black fruits, new oak, and flowers. In the mouth, the wine is opulent and succulent, with medium to full body, superb depth of flavor, brilliant focus and delineation, as well as a round, generously endowed, velvety-textured finish. It should drink well for the next 7-10 years. My first experience with the wines of this domaine was impressive. The domaine's success with some of their lower level wines from the Cotes de Nuits' most northerly village, Marsannay, is especially laudable. Importer: Wine Markets International, Syosset, NY.
