Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2007-2015, Robert Parker, Aug 2007

A blockbuster offering is the 2006 Pinot Noir Occidental Vineyard. A deep ruby/plum color is accompanied by sweet black cherry and plum-like fruit interwoven with notions of spring flowers, earth, and beet roots. The wine displays a darker fruit character on the palate along with a beautiful texture, decent acidity, silky tannin, and a long finish. This superb Pinot should be consumed over the next 5-8 years. This is a new project of renowned New York City restauranteur Danny Meyer, Paris wine bar owner Mark Williamson, and winemaker Sashi Moorman. No telephone listing available
