2016 Barbaresco Rio Sordo Riserva

Made with organic fruit, the Cascina Bruciata 2016 Barbaresco Riserva Rio Sordo shows depth and lots of dark fruit. Savory notes of tar, spice and scorched earth surround a core of pressed blackberry and dried cherry. With this vintage, Cascina Bruciata comes into its own. The wine delivers the grit and personality of the Rio Sordo cru, but it also shows elegance and a silky mouthfeel. You can put this Riserva aside for further aging, or you can enjoy the bottle in a relatively short while. Production is 3,500 bottles.
