Tasting notes
From a relatively large vineyard (60 planted acres, selling to multiple wineries) overlooking Lake Hennessy, Adversity's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard features complex aromas of crushed stone and dried herbs, accenting notes of blackberries and a hint of blueberries. Full-bodied and concentrated, this finishes long, with layers of dusty but ripe tannins.

Ripe currants, black cherries, darker chocolate, and spicy oak all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard, a complex, medium to full-bodied effort that has plenty of background oak, a mountain fruit-like character in its tannins and structure, terrific mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. It needs a solid 3-5 years in the cellar.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Sage Ridge Vineyard is another beauty from Russell Bevans. Darker fruits, chocolate, wild sage, and bouquet garni all emerge on the nose, and it’s full-bodied, round, supple, and mouth-filling while holding onto a notable sense of elegance.
