Blackberry/cassis lovers can get an easy fix with the 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is crammed with fruit, has low acidity, full body, and lusty, concentrated flavors that coat the palate. Already delicious, it should get even better over the next 3-4 years, and last for 12-15. This is an undeniably sexy style of Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby. Cool aromas of blueberry, blackcurrant and graphite. Quite concentrated and deep; a lovely, thoroughly ripe version of cool-climate fruit (harvested in May). Dense but fresh and sharply delineated. This has compelling fruit. Finishes with lush tannins and terrific length. An excellent Australian cabernet!
