2013 Rasa Vineyards QED

(14.7% alcohol; almost entirely from Weinbau vineyard): Bright ruby-red. Perfumed nose combines blackberry coulis, licorice, tar, herbs and bitter chocolate. Smooth, sweet and youthful, conveying a distinctly primary quality to its dark berry fruit. Nicely integrated acidity gives shape to the middle palate. Finishes with serious but smooth tannins that spread out horizontally to coat the mouth.
