Full ruby. Bright, youthfully medicinal aromas of blackberry, kirsch , licorice and violet. Stuffed with sweet black cherry and blackcurrant fruit, with just enough acidity to keep it alive. Sexy oak note of bitter chocolate. Unrefined but strong: serve this with rare brontosaurus steak.

Incorporating 6% Petit Verdot and raised in 100% new French oak, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Bully is another full-throttle, pedal-to-the-metal effort from Chris that gives up terrific black fruits, melted licorice, tar, roasted herbs and hints of chocolate. Chewy, decadent, full-bodied and layered, it stays remarkably graceful, elegant and drinkable. Coming from some of the oldest vines on Red Mountain, drink it anytime over the coming 7-9 years.
