Tasting notes
Smells like a flower bouquet with ripe-strawberry and cherry character, too. Medium to full body with round, creamy tannins and a juicy finish. Very fine tannins. Tension at the end. Drinkable now, but a year or two will make it even better.

The 2019 Barbaresco offers a slightly spicy and savory expression of Nebbiolo. It is unusual in that it shies away from the more obvious varietal tones of wild berry and rose and instead embraces tar, grilled herb and peppercorn. This vintage has tight, almost astringent tannins and a textured close.
Barbaresco, Treiso and Neive. Stainless steel with 40 days submerged cap after fermentation and aged for 18 months in large oak. Lustrous and just mid ruby. Perfumed, spicy and attractive. Succulent red fruit with long, grainy tannins. A little rustic but completely convincing. (WS)
