The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens Vineyard is a gorgeous, juicy wine bursting at the seams with vibrant red and purplish berry fruit. That's the good news. The bad news is that there are only 48 cases, all from the small amount of fruit in this vineyard that was picked before the October fires ravaged the property. Soft and lush, with silky tannins, the 2017 is exceptionally beautiful, not to mention incredibly delicious.

This represents only 25% of the vineyard, since everything else was still hanging during the fires. Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens displays a deep garnet-purple. It rolls effortlessly out of the glass with notes of plum preserves, blueberry pie and crème de cassis plus hints of Chinese five spice and fruitcake. Medium to full-bodied, firm and chewy, it has loads of spicy black fruit on offer in the mouth, finishing long and just a little rustic. Only 48 cases were made.
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon The Ravens Vineyard is the only Cabernet from Perliss in 2017. Pliant, racy and inviting, the 2017 has a lot to offer. Sadly, there are just two barrels to go around.
