Score 90/100 · Drink 2017-2029, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015

Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers from Stéphane Magnien has a more complex bouquet than Digioia-Royer's Groseilles 2012 tasted alongside, with mineral-infused, quite broody and introspective black fruit. It gradually opens in the glass, revealing a light mint touch. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and less black than suggested by the aromatics. There is a slight bitterness on the finish and some angularity, though time will help meld this together.
