The 2009 Barolo Terlo Ravera is a delicious, juicy Barolo to drink in its youth. Dark red cherries, plums, licorice, tobacco and menthol notes all flesh out in this inviting, tasty Barolo. The 2009 stands out for its mid-palate pliancy and round, caressing finish.

Commune of Novello. Mid ruby with bright orange-tinged rim. Just a little leathery and leafy on the nose and quite closed on the palate. Great acidity and just a little astringent on the finish. Cherry fruit building up on the finish. A little austere but genuine. Needs more time. (WS)
