Bright magenta. Intensely perfumed scents of ripe red and fruits, incense and Asian spices, along with a hint of smoky minerality that builds in the glass. Sweet, penetrating and lively on the palate, showing excellent clarity and spicy lift to the sappy cherry-vanilla, mulberry and floral pastille flavors. Deepens with air and finishes on a subtly tannic note, with sharp focus and a lingering spicecake quality. 50% new oak.
