Pale yellow. Musky aromas of apple, menthol and wet stone. Juicier in the mouth than the nose suggests, offering very dry, chewy flavors of lemon, lime and minerals. This rather severe, ungiving Charmes lacks charm today. Will its minerality ever harmonize with its fruit? Perhaps knocked off balance by the very low yield.

Lively lime-citrus aroma, the palate more marked by a creamy lees character though the fruits shines through on the finish. A little bit eye-watering overall but persistent in the freshness. Just needs a little more flesh to balance (JH)
