The 2013 Chianti Rufina comes across as almost brooding in style, with dark tonalities of fruit and notable depth. Black cherry and plum notes open up nicely in a plump, juicy Chianti Rufina that is endowed with notable personality. Resonant and expressive throughout, the 2013 should continue to drink nicely for at least a handful of years. Colorino and Canaiolo play supporting roles in the blend.
