Score 87/100 · Drink 2002-2009, Robert Parker, Apr 2002

The 1999 La Fleur de Jaugue is a fruity, soft, dark ruby-colored effort with excellent purity, plenty of tobacco-tinged black currant and cherry fruit, and notions of licorice, earth, and spicy oak. It is round and delicious, but less impressive than I anticipated. This wine is ideal for drinking over the next 7 or so years.
