Tasting notes
The 2016 Signature Mountain Blend is a Merlot-dominated blend and includes 24% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Petit Verdot. It's a powerful yet supple and seamless blend that gives up plenty of red and black fruits, toasted spice, chocolate, and graphite aromas and flavors. Concentrated, super-rich, yet perfectly balanced, it's a total head turner of a Merlot to drink over the coming 15-20 years.

The Merlot-based 2016 Signature Mountain Blend offers notable freshness to play off the intense jammy fruit that is such a signature of these wines. Red cherry preserves, cloves, new leather, cinnamon and mocha all infuse this super-appealing, textured wine from Hertelendy.
The 2016 Signature Mountain Blend is blended of 56% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec and 5% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple colored, it's a little closed to begin, opening out to reveal notions of warm plums, blackberry pie and forest floor with nuances of baking spices, potpourri and dusty soil. Full-bodied and laden with plum preserves and loads of spicy layers, it has a firm, rounded tannin texture and earth-laced finish.
