Tasting notes
The entry level 2013 Terra di Monteverro is made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. It has plenty of Cabernet flair in its darker cassis and currants fruits, leafy herbs, tobacco, and spicy, leathery aromas and flavors. These carry to a medium to full-bodied Tuscan red that has a savory, ripe, hedonistic style, good structure, and upwards of a decade of longevity.

The 2013 Terra di Monteverro does a beautiful job of showing its Tuscany personality. The wine is ripe and richly textured with black fruit and balanced spice. Red cherry is followed by Mediterranean herb. It offers sweet tannins and a pleasurable, opulent style. This is Monteverro's lower tier wine. It offers the simple and carefree drinking style that makes it a natural partner to hearty meals.
