Score 94/100 · Drink 2024-2036, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Aug 2022
The 2019 Halenberg GG is pure and intense on the flinty, fresh and precise nose that shows ripe but elegant and slatey fruit with floral notes and hints of potted ginger. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, this is an elegant, intense and powerful but crystalline and salty Riesling with a long, compact and saline finish. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in July 2022.

AP number 20 20. Broad, tingly nose. Tight and fresh. More disciplined than some of this producer's wines. And so tense it needs a bit more time but there is great extract and intensity. Juicy with green-apple flavours but much more complex than that sounds. A real array of spicy flavours on the finish. (JR)
