2009 Calluna Vineyards Merlot Aux Raynauds

Good full, deep red. Cherry, currant, licorice and smoke on the nose. Supple, fat and concentrated; delivers a lovely glyceral texture without any excess sweetness, in the way of a top Bordeaux from the Right Bank. Has the supple middle to support its dusty tannins. Very interesting California merlot with the balance to age.
