Score 87/100 · Drink 1997-2007, Robert Parker, Aug 1995

Mussy had mixed success in 1993, producing some hard, lean, meagerly endowed 1993s, as well as three wines that appear to possess enough glycerin, richness, and body to stand up to the vintage's structure. The Pommard Les Epenots possesses the highest alcohol content of Mussy's wines, a medium ruby color, a closed nose, moderate body, and hard tannin, as well as an overall impression of ripeness and concentration. Give it 2-4 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 7-8. Importer: William Grant & Sons, Edison, NJ; tel. (908) 225-9000
