Score 94/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Oct 2019

Coming from a site located on the southern end of Ballard Canyon and a blend of 51% Syrah and 49% Grenache, the 2016 Larner sports a saturated purple color as well as pure notes of black and blue fruits, lavender, black pepper, and dry-aged beef. Full-bodied, pure, and lively, it's packed with sweet fruit and has a rounded, opulent texture, good freshness, and a big finish. If you don't love sweet fruit, don't try this, but you're missing out.
