Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2018 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard offers red and black berries on the nose with touches of conifer and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is firm, juicy and a touch dilute. 476 cases produced.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard possesses tremendous density and depth. Savoy Pinots are often open-knit and sensual, but not here. The Failla 2018 is a real powerhouse. Black cherry, gravel, cured meats, cloves, leather and spice bring out the darker, more virile side of Pinot Noir. Readers should plan on cellaring the 2018 for at least a few years. The 2018 is a Pinot of substantial weight and gravitas that leans a bit more towards intensity than finesse.
