Light yellow. Lime, green apple, wet rock and smoky gunflint on the nose. Racy and firm but also ripe, with juicy orchard fruit and citrus flavors and an exotic suggestion of candied flowers. Finishes dry and focused, with lingering notes of zesty minerals and citrus fruit.

About the producer

Henri Bourgeois
Although the family had long grown vines in Sancerre, it was in the 1950s that Henri Bourgeois started championing the wines of Chavignol. The property grew from two to 65 hectares, spread between Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé, and is one of the standard-bearers for the region.
