2017 Hudson Ranch Chardonnay Ladybug

Planted entirely to shot Wente clone selection, the Lady Bug Vineyard is located on the east side of Milliken Peak, not far from Artesa Winery. This is a barrel selection fermented using all native yeast, aged for 24 months in barrel. 2017 Chardonnay Lady Bug comes bounding out of the glass with sit-up-and-beg notes of honey toasted nuts, cinnamon toast, almond croissant and preserved ginger over a core of peach cobbler and apple pie plus a waft of paraffin wax. Full-bodied, the palate explodes with stone fruit, savory and spicy nuances, framed by a creamy texture and bold freshness, finishing very long and very decadent. 165 cases made.
