Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) sports a saturated purple hue as well as a ripe, powerful nose of plums, blackberries, licorice, roasted herbs, and camphor. This puppy packs a punch and is full-bodied and uber-ripe, yet it stays nicely balanced, has ripe, velvety tannins, and a blockbuster of a finish. It should have two decades of longevity, if not longer.

From the highest-elevation blocks in the leased Rainin Vineyard, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Despite 100% new French oak, what comes through are gorgeous, intricate shadings of sage and bay leaf, wrapped around a bold core of cassis. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, there's serious power, concentration and length. Impressive.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard is packed with red-toned fruit, iron, white pepper, spice and lifted floral accents. In 2019, the Rainin is beautifully lifted and full of energy. There is plenty of depth and structure, but the 2019 impresses with its fine balance. This is a terrific edition of the Rainin.
