Remarkably pretty, the 2022 Lacrima di Morro d'Alba wafts up with a vivid blend of crushed blueberries, sage and wet stone. This is juicy and lifted in style with crisp wild berry fruits propelled by brisk acidity as violet inner florals form toward the close. A coating of fine tannins frames the experience well as the 2022 tapers off grippy and long yet still remarkably fresh. Of note, the 2022 was submitted to me with the word “Fiore '' in its name, yet I see no mention of it on the label.
