Tasting notes
The 2018 Syrah, aged in 60% new French oak for 18 months, is scented of cassis, coffee beans, milk chocolate, cracked pepper and mint leaves with meaty undertones. The full-bodied palate is supple and fresh with concentrated fruits and a baking spice-laced finish. It's a touch heavy on the oak.

Youthful purple. Oak-spiced black/blue fruit, licorice and vanilla qualities on the nose, along with a smoky top-note. Fleshy and appealingly sweet, offering juicy, palate-coating blackberry and cherry-vanilla flavors that slowly firm up through the midpalate. Finishes very long and spicy, with sneaky tannins and lingering smokiness. 60% new French oak.
Also purple-colored, the 2018 Syrah saw 18 months in 60% new French oak. Lots of classic Paso Robles cassis and jammy blackberry fruits as well as notes of vanilla, peppery herbs, and charred steak all emerge from this full-bodied beauty that has a voluptuous texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
