Score 91/100 · Drink 2014-2026, Robert Parker, Oct 2014

The late-released 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt. Veeder offers plenty of blueberry and raspberry fruit intermixed with notions of acacia flowers, medium to full body, and abundant concentration and richness. One of the stars of the vintage, like most 2011s, it is on a fast evolutionary track, so drink it over the next 10-12 years.

The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Wall Vineyard is endowed with superb energy and focus. Leather, smoke, tobacco and savory herbs abound in a precise, vibrant Cabernet that stands out for its personality and pedigree. With time in the glass the 2011 turns increasingly visceral, showing marvelous depth. An intensely saline, mineral-drenched finish rounds things out in style. What a beautiful wine this is.
