Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon shows some marks from the late-season heat that set in around Labor Day 2019. That actually benefits the wine in the sense that it bestowed a rounder, more intense fruit character that offsets some of the green and herbal elements that point to less-than-ideal ripening. Tart, chalky acids leave the mouth watering on the finish. It’s a very “Jordan” wine, which is to say, old-school all the way.

Plush and savory, this wine is beginning to show tertiary aromas of dried herbs, flower petals, earth, fresh mint and juicy cherries. Although the fruit is beginning to cede to savory notes, it is still fresh, lively and delicious, with silky tannins. Tasted from a magnum. Drink or hold.
