Tasting notes
Incorporating 23% Merlot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, charming wine that has textbook Napa Valley notes of cassis, blackcurrants, leafy herbs, and violets. It’s a solid effort to enjoy over the coming 8-10 years.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored and gives up warm plums, black raspberries and cassis notions with a hint of menthol. Juicy, soft, uncomplicated and medium to full-bodied, it has appealing freshness and youthful verve.
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Rutherford) is a powerful, muscular wine. Layers of dark fruit, chocolate, espresso, licorice and menthol all flesh out in a resonant, expressive Cabernet that shows the more virile side of the Rutherford appellation. This is very nicely done.
