Score 91/100 · Drink 2021-2031, Jeb Dunnuck, Mar 2021
Coming from the Castillon region, east of Saint-Emilion, the 2018 Clos Louie checks in as 50% Merlot and the rest an even split of Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Beautiful blueberry and mulberry fruits as well as sappy green herbs, flowers, and orange blossom notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, nicely balanced, elegant wine with plenty of richness and depth backed up by balance, complexity, and length. It's an outstanding bottle of wine to enjoy over the coming 8-10 years.
