Tasting notes
Beautiful currant and cassis fruits, spicy oak, and leafy herb notes all emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ethos Reserve, a medium to full-bodied Cabernet that has terrific overall balance, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. It's not the most complex Cabernet out there, but this beauty is going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it have 15+ years of overall longevity. It's a top-notch effort well worth checking out.

Rich and generous, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ethos Reserve reveals elements of coffee bean and dark chocolate, blackberry jus, spiced plum compote and elegant oak tones of vanilla and nutmeg. Full-bodied, the palate showcases dark red fruit—predominantly black cherry—before introducing a fine mineral tension and firm tannic edge. Unfolding across the mid-palate, it concludes with a long-lingering and spicy finish that reveals a subtle boozy lift. Drink through the next 10 years or so.
Mocha and cinnamon-dusted black cherries give way to sage and sweet smoke as the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Ethos Reserve evolves in the glass. It's elegant and refined, with cooling acidity and polished red berry fruits. Edgy tannins come forward through the finish, while tart raspberry and dark chocolate sensations slowly fade through the long and youthfully-tense finale. Give this some time to integrate its oak component.
