Tasting notes
Showing Old World complexity within the confines of Washington's abundant fruit, the 2022 Syrah Arnaut Boushey Vineyard is balanced and textured, layered in full-bodied blackberry, black pepper, and lavender. Rounded and layered, the tannins are lengthy and silky and will allow the wine the age another 10-15 years.

The 2022 Syrah Arnaut Boushey Vineyard was fermented with 20% whole clusters and matured for 18 months in 15% new French oak. It has gregarious aromas of blueberry, boysenberry, salami, lavender and thyme. The full-bodied palate offers dark, concentrated flavors. It’s structured by grainy tannins and juicy acidity and has a long, flavorful finish. It will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar. 354 cases were made.
The 2022 Syrah Arnaut Boushey Vineyard is darkly floral, mixing crushed violet and flowery underbrush with hints of clove and sage. This sweeps across the palate with ease, silken yet lifted in feel, with crisp red and black fruits that take on an almost crunchy sensation toward the close. The 2022 finishes long and pleasantly bitter, leaving sweet tannins that add a truly classic feel. The Arnaut hails from two separate parcels of the Boushey Vineyard, which were picked especially late in 2022.
