Tasting Notes
Good depth from this vintage and there is convincing ripeness, with dark fruit and a touch of graphite. Structured, with very good mid-palate definition and tightness. Very solid finish. 90% merlot and 10% cabernet franc.

Dark black and blue fruits intermixed with violets and smoky oak emerge from 2024 Château Haut-Brisson. Medium-bodied and pleasurable on the palate, it shows a round, textured mouthfeel and solid tannins, though it remains youthful and slightly primary, as well as a touch hard to read.
Deep garnet-purple colored. Black raspberries and ripe strawberries hop from the glass with hints of balsamic, chargrill, and bay leaves. The light to medium-bodied palate is chewy and savory with a slightly rugged/rustic finish.
Oakier and spicier than its siblings from Vignobles K, the 2024 Haut-Brisson displays a somber, shy bouquet of oak and spices mingled with notes of pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, firm and compact, it's moderately weighted with brittle tannins and a firm, somewhat dry finish. The wine went into barrels at the beginning of March, likely contributing to its current brooding and austere character. This blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc will mature in 35% new oak.
