Score 88-90/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, May 2025

The second wine of this reference point estate, the 2024 Echo De Lynch-Bages checks in as 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Merlot. With notes of smoky red and black fruits, graphite, and violets, as well as present yet integrated oak, it's medium-bodied and has a supple, layered mouthfeel, firm tannins, and solid length on the finish.

The 2024 Echo de Lynch-Bages offers up aromas of dark berries and rich, toasty oak. Medium-bodied, robust and tannic, it's a chunky, structured wine that will certainly require some patience.

Lovely depth and concentration, love the precision and uplift, fragrant and leafy, the juice brings a sense of bounce and pleasure to the dark fruits. 20% new oak. 3.62 pH.

The 2024 Echo de Lynch-Bages, aged in 20% new oak and representing around one-third of the crop, showed a lot of reduction on the nose when I tasted it at the château, as well as a little greenness. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, a dash of black pepper and a light marine note towards the finish. To be honest, there's a large gap between this and the Grand Vin in this vintage.
