Tasting Notes
Vivid plum colour here, starts off with a touch of cocoa bean and black tea, raspberry leaf, cumin, cloves, sculpted and well put together, soft on the finish. Vignobles Lagardère, 50% new oak for ageing.

Well-made, textured and balanced, with currants, wild berries and some herbs on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Velvety texture with a long, refined finish.
The oak signature is quite pronounced and this will need more time for everything to come together, but it does help to underline the subtle floral elements. I like too the nutty, walnut shell and walnut oil note that comes through with aeration and supports the strawberry, raspberry and plum fruit. True to its hedonistic Pomerol style in a vintage that makes that more difficult I suspect.
