Ruby red medium intensity colour, fruits very much of the blue and red end of the spectrum, carefully delivered but struggles to really deliver the Pomerol pleasure that it does in riper vintages. Heritiers Bernard Moueix. Grape blend given is as planted, not vintage.

The 2024 Taillefer has a pleasant bouquet with well-defined black fruit, touches of bay leaf and tea. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins, but there is adequate weight on the mid-palate and it has a pleasant, if slightly innocuous, finish. Fine early-drinking Pomerol.

Quite floral, with bright, red berries, and a background note of cocoa are on display in the nose, as well as on the light, bright, fresh, soft-textured palate. You can enjoy its cherries, and strawberry fruits on release, and for over a decade.

A very good one for the vintage. This shows nice depth and polish with firm tannins and a good center-palate. Juicy and pretty long.
