Tasting Notes
Deeply coloured, the 2024 Roc de Cambes has the most discreet nose of the Mitjavile range this year. The tannins are ripe and seamless, building on the palate, with freshness and a core of red fruit. There is a broad underlying structure, and this will need time, but is built to age beautifully. Harvested at 35hl/ha, aged in 100% new oak and with 13.5% alcohol.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Charges out with notes of juicy red and black plums with hints of violets, tilled soil, and licorice. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good mouthful of ripe, expressive red and black berry flavors, supported by velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing fragrant.
A sappy mixture of greengage and damson plum flavours, spiced white pepper and sage, a little austere and leafy but it retains estate typicity. 100% new oak for ageing, Mitjavile estate.
The 2024 Roc de Cambes is quite opulent on the nose with black plum and blueberry fruit. In this vintage, I actually discern more nuance and complexity on the Domaine des Cambes. The palate is medium-bodied with a little more heft, though it retains admirable balance and purity. The tongue tingles with white pepper and red peppercorns on the aftertaste. Quite delicious again.
