Tasting notes
Sandalwood, incense, smoke, blueberry, charred raspberry, this has a real vibrancy, clear austerity also, touch of reduction on the opening. September 27 to 28 harvest, 9ha, 3.4ph. A vineyard with real personality, owned by the Garcin-Cathiard family.

The 2024 Poesia is a heady, racy wine. Black cherry, plum, incense, licorice, chocolate, sweet French oak and soaring exotic inflections are some of the signatures. The super-ripe profile is quite distinctive, as is the wine's textural resonance. Sweet floral and spice top notes lift the finish.
The 2024 Poesia was picked on September 27 and 28. It is higher-toned on the nose than the Barde-Haut, with blueberry and cassis fruit and a touch of blackcurrant pastille. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannins that lend a fleshy mouthfeel. There is a little more rondeur towards the finish compared to the Barde-Haut, and more length. Recommended.
Darker than its stablemate in its fruit, and color, the wine already offers its layers of black cherries, plums, flowers, licorice, and cocoa in the nose, and palate. Juicy, vibrant, and supple, the finish leaves you with its red fruits, dried garrigue, and salty accents. The wine blends 70% Merlot, with 30% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV, 3.4 pH.
