Carefully extracted fresh and floral aromatics, slim but enjoyable just-ripe berry fruits, fresh acidities that are a little too much, making things austere. Give it time to soften, as the final impression is of an unfussy early-drinking wine. Moreau family owners, 30% new oak. Grape variety given is as planted, not specific to the 2024 vintage. Tasted twice.
The 2024 Plince is a bit burly, but it offers very good depth in this vintage. Dark-toned fruit, cedar, leather, incense, tobacco and grilled herbs lend a brooding, virile quality to Plince that is palpable. There's quite a bit of potential here.
The 2024 Plince has a simple nose with light black fruit laced with violet, but it lacks real complexity and is a bit herbaceous. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, but this is another Pomerol that feels dry and attenuated towards the finish.
