Tasting Notes
Deep garnet-purple in color. Rolls out of the glass with expressive notes of fresh red and black plums and kirsch, plus suggestions of garrigue and underbrush. The light-bodied palate is lively with lightly chewy tannins and bright black and red berry flavors, finishing savory.

Juicy black cherries, leafy tobacco, and gravelly earth notes all emerge from the 2024 Esprit De Chevalier, a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot brought up in 30% new oak. Medium-bodied and bright on the palate, with higher acidity and ripe tannins, it shows a nicely textured mouthfeel and solid length.
Notes of oak, smoke and dark berries preface the 2024 L'Esprit de Chevalier, a moderately weighted wine with a tangy palate that concludes with a somewhat firm finish.
Plenty of impact, clear from the first nose, this is a little slim and savoury, rose bud and cassis bud, enjoyable if skirting ripeness. 30% new oak for ageing, harvest 20 September to 8 October. 3.61 pH. 48 hl/ha yield.
