Tasting notes
FINE+RARE, Apr 2025

Layered with sweet spice and lifted florals, with parma violets and deep plum fruit, this is a lovely Cruzelles. The palate combines bright red fruit – just à point – with a fine, mineral note that runs through the long, fresh finish, all with a tight tannin structure. Aged in 57% new oak, 13.6% alcohol. Blend: 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc

The flagship from this 9-hectare site, the 2024 Château Les Cruzelles is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc vinified all in tank and aged in 50% new oak. Ripe black cherries, red plums, violets, sappy herbs, and graphite all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied, with a nicely balanced, concentrated mouthfeel, ripe yet firmer tannins, and outstanding length.

Deep garnet-purple colored. Pops out of the glass with notes of juicy plums and Morello cherries, giving way to hints of garrigue and tilled soil. The medium-bodied palate delivers lightly chewy tannins and a good amount of expressive black and red fruit flavors, finishing earthy.

The 2024 Les Cruzelles is shy and introverted, offering up aromas of pepper, oak and incense. Moderately weighted, supple and lively, it's built around tangy acids and powdery tannins.
